Flood Watch for the entire State of Hawaii Wednesday through at least Friday. * WHAT. Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible. * WHERE. All the main Hawaiian islands. * WHEN. From Wednesday morning through Friday evening. * IMPACTS. Significant flooding may occur due to the overflow of streams and drainages. Roads in several areas may be closed, along with property damage in urban or low lying spots due to runoff. Landslides may also occur in areas with steep terrain. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - A kona low developing north of the state will bring the potential for a prolonged period of heavy rain and thunderstorms over portions of the state from Wednesday through Friday and likely continuing through the weekend. Bands of heavy rain will bring a potential for significant flooding, especially in leeward areas.

FFWHFO The National Weather Service in Honolulu has extended the * Flash Flood Warning for. The island of Oahu in Honolulu County * Until 1045 PM HST. * At 739 PM HST, radar indicated that while heavy rain has largely diminished, additional showers are developing along the windward shoreline. Rain was falling at a rate up to 1 inch per hour. In addition, Kapaa Quarry Road remains closed due to flooding. HAZARD. Flash flooding caused by heavy rain. SOURCE. Radar. IMPACT. Flooding in drainages, streams, rivers, roads, properties, and other low-lying areas. Public road closures possible in some areas. Landslides are possible in steep terrain. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include. Waikane, Waiahole, Kaaawa, Kahaluu, Punaluu, Ahuimanu, Hauula, Pearl City, Aiea, Halawa, Kaneohe, Laie, Kaneohe Marine Base, Moanalua, Kalihi, Maunawili, Kahuku, Kailua, Manoa and Waimanalo.
