SMWJAX The National Weather Service in Jacksonville has issued a * Special Marine Warning for. Waters from St. Augustine to Flagler Beach FL from 20 to 60 NM. * Until 600 PM EDT. * At 453 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing waterspouts was located 48 nm northeast of Ormond-By-the-Sea, moving east at 30 knots. HAZARD. Waterspouts, wind gusts in excess of 50 knots, and large hail. SOURCE. Radar. IMPACT. Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas. Boats could suffer significant structural damage in high winds and hail. Small craft could capsize in suddenly higher waves. * The severe thunderstorm will remain over mainly open waters.

Flagler Beach to Volusia-Brevard County Line 20-60 nm. Sebastian Inlet to Jupiter Inlet 0-20 nm. Sebastian Inlet to Jupiter Inlet 20-60 nm. Volusia-Brevard County Line to Sebastian Inlet 0-20 nm. Volusia-Brevard County Line to Sebastian Inlet 20-60 nm. * Until 715 PM EDT. * At 508 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing waterspouts was located 10 nm southwest of Rockledge, moving east at 30 knots. Additional showers and storms pushing offshore and over the Atlantic waters will be capable of waterspouts, gusty winds, and small hail. HAZARD. Waterspouts, wind gusts 34 knots or greater, and small hail. SOURCE. Radar. IMPACT. Waterspouts can can quickly form and capsize boats, damage vessels and create locally hazardous seas. Make sure all on board are wearing life jackets. Expect wind gusts in excess of 34 knots, suddenly higher waves, lightning and heavy downpours. Make sure all on board are wearing life jackets.
