SMWMFL The National Weather Service in Miami has issued a * Special Marine Warning for. Biscayne Bay. Coastal waters from Deerfield Beach to Ocean Reef FL out 20 NM. * Until 615 PM EDT. * At 439 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing waterspouts was located over North Bay Village, or over Indian Creek, moving northeast at 10 knots. HAZARD. Waterspouts, wind gusts in excess of 50 knots, and large hail. SOURCE. Radar. IMPACT. Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas. Boats could suffer significant structural damage in high winds and hail. Small craft could capsize in suddenly higher waves. * Locations impacted include. Sunny Isles, Key Biscayne, Hallandale, Cape Florida, Virginia Key, Bay Harbor Islands, Port Everglades, Miami Beach, Bal Harbour, Golden Beach, Surfside, North Bay Village, Indian Creek, Hollywood, and Fort Lauderdale.

* WHAT. Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE. A portion of southeast Florida, including the following county, Miami-Dade. * WHEN. Until 600 PM EDT. * IMPACTS. Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 358 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Up to 2 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include. Miami, Hialeah, Miami Beach, Coral Gables, Key Biscayne, South Miami, Virginia Key, Kendall, Doral, Hialeah Gardens, Pinecrest, Miami Springs, Sweetwater, Miami Shores, North Bay Village, West Miami, El Portal, Medley, Coconut Grove and Marlins Park. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 456 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This is causing urban and small stream flooding including reports of flooded roadways north of downtown Miami. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include.
