SMWMFL The National Weather Service in Miami has issued a * Special Marine Warning for. Coastal waters from Jupiter Inlet to Deerfield Beach FL out 20 NM. Waters from Jupiter Inlet to Deerfield Beach FL from 20 to 60 NM. * Until 645 PM EDT. * At 552 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing waterspouts was located 38 nm east of Highland Beach, moving east at 20 knots. HAZARD. Waterspouts, wind gusts 34 knots or greater, and small hail. SOURCE. Radar. IMPACT. Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and suddenly higher waves. * The severe thunderstorm will remain over mainly open waters.

At 545 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated a strong thunderstorm, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots. This thunderstorm was located 44 nm east of Ocean Ridge, moving east at 15 knots.
