At 655 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over Fordoche, or 9 miles southeast of Melville, moving southeast at 20 mph. HAZARD. Winds in excess of 40 mph and half inch hail. SOURCE. Radar indicated. IMPACT. Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include. Baton Rouge, Zachary, Baker, New Roads, Livonia, Maringouin, Fordoche, Rosedale, Grosse Tete, Morganza, Erwinville, Ramah, and Lottie. This includes Interstate 10 in Louisiana between mile markers 136 and 150.

At 4.0 feet, Minor lowland flooding near the river will occur. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 9:15 AM CDT Saturday the stage was 4.0 feet. - Forecast. The river will fall below flood stage this afternoon to 3.8 feet tomorrow evening. It will then rise to flood stage early Tuesday afternoon.
