Minor flooding is forecast. * WHAT. Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE. Neuse River at Kinston. * WHEN. Until further notice. * IMPACTS. At 16.0 feet, Flooding of the campground at the Nature Center is expected. Water encroaches onto other properties along the south side of the river. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 9:15 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 15.2 feet. - Recent Activity. The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 9:15 PM EDT Sunday was 15.2 feet. - Forecast. Neuse River near Goldsboro. * WHEN. Until this evening. * IMPACTS. At 18.0 feet, Minor flooding begins. Water overflows the banks at the Arrington Bridge Rd and upstream of the US-117 bridge. Ferry Bridge Rd begins to flood. At 20.0 feet, Moderate flooding begins. Arrington Bridge Road and access roads around Seymour Johnson Air Force Base flood. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 4:15 AM EDT Monday the stage was 18.1 feet. - Recent Activity. The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 4:15 AM EDT Monday was 18.2 feet. - Forecast. The river is expected to fall below flood stage this morning and continue falling to 13.6 feet Friday evening. - Flood stage is 18.0 feet. - Flood History.
