Near-record temperatures and a deeper-than-normal June snowpack will result in large, potentially destructive, wet avalanches through the weekend. *WHERE. The mountains of Colorado above about 11,500 feet where there is an existing snowpack. *WHEN. Through Sunday evening *IMPACTS. Large wet avalanches may release naturally threatening backcountry travelers attempting to climb or ride on high peaks in Colorado *PRECAUTION/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS.
