Patchy dense fog will be possible across portions of northeast Georgia and the Upstate of South Carolina through 9am. A dense fog advisory may be needed should dense fog persist longer and become more widespread.

Look for fog to be patchy across the mountains and foothills this morning. Visibilities will fluctuate a bit across small distances from a quarter mile or less to more than 1 mile. If traveling, be alert to rapid changes in visibility. The fog is likely to stick around through dawn.
