Until early Thursday morning. * IMPACTS. At 10.0 feet, Extensive lowland flooding occurs particularly over the parkland areas near the river. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 8:00 PM CDT Tuesday the stage was 10.2 feet. - Forecast. The river is expected to rise to a crest of 10.2 feet just after midnight tonight. It will then fall below flood stage early tomorrow afternoon. - Flood stage is 10.0 feet.

* WHAT. Flooding caused by earlier excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE. A portion of north central Iowa, including the following county, Kossuth. * WHEN. Until 830 AM CDT Wednesday. * IMPACTS. Flooding of small rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 804 PM CDT, Emergency management reported heavy rain in the warned area due to thunderstorms earlier this afternoon. Flooding of some streets, fields and low-lying areas is still ongoing. Between 3 and 5 inches of rain has fallen earlier this afternoon. - Though the rainfall has ended, expected some flooding issues to continue overnight. - Some locations that will experience flooding include. Algona, Whittemore, Irvington, Algona Municipal Airport, Stinson Prairie State Park and Aa Call State Park.

Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE. The East Fork Des Moines River near Algona, or from Buffalo Creek near Burt to Lotts Creek near Livermore. * WHEN. Until Saturday morning. * IMPACTS. At 18.0 feet, Water threatens US 169 near Saint Joseph and may affect it south of Algona. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 8:15 PM CDT Tuesday the stage was 16.3 feet. - Forecast. The river is expected to rise above flood stage late this evening to a crest of 17.8 feet tomorrow morning. It will then fall below flood stage Friday evening. - Flood stage is 17.0 feet.
