At 257 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over Plaquemine, moving northeast at 20 mph. HAZARD. Winds in excess of 40 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE. Radar indicated. IMPACT. Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include. Baton Rouge, Plaquemine, Port Allen, Oak Hills Place, St. Gabriel, Addis, Brusly, Westminster, Old Jefferson, Merrydale, Inniswold, Village St. George, Shenandoah, Gardere, and Brownfields. This includes the following Interstates. Interstate 10 in Louisiana between mile markers 153 and 171. Interstate 12 between mile markers 1 and 8. Interstate 110 in Louisiana between mile markers 1 and 5.

Mermentau River Near Mermentau Additional information is available at www.weather.gov. The next statement will be issued Sunday morning at 930 AM CDT. * WHAT. Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE. Mermentau River near Mermentau. * WHEN. From this morning to early Wednesday morning. * IMPACTS. At 4.0 feet, Minor lowland flooding near the river will occur. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 9:15 AM CDT Saturday the stage was 4.0 feet. - Forecast. The river will fall below flood stage this afternoon to 3.8 feet tomorrow evening. It will then rise to flood stage early Tuesday afternoon.
