Waters from Intracoastal City to Cameron LA from 20 to 60 NM. * Until 500 PM CDT. * At 322 PM CDT, strong thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 24 nm northwest of White Lake to High Island 157, moving southeast at 25 knots. Southeastern Lafayette Parish in south central Louisiana. West Central St. Martin Parish in south central Louisiana. Northeastern Vermilion Parish in southwestern Louisiana. * Until 600 PM CDT. * At 247 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 1 to 2.5 inches in 1 hour. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD. Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE. Radar. IMPACT. Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include.
