At 124 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Hague, or near Warsaw. This thunderstorm was nearly stationary. HAZARD. Wind gusts up to 40 mph and half inch hail. SOURCE. Radar indicated. IMPACT. Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of northwestern Richmond and southeastern Westmoreland Counties, including the following locations. Ethel, Lyells, Mount Holly, Erica, Piney Grove, Kremlin, Oldhams, and Templeman.

The areas affected include. Tidal Potomac from Cobb Island MD to Smith Point VA. At 113 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated a few strong thunderstorms, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots and small hail. This thunderstorm was located over Saint Marys River, moving south at 20 knots.

FFWAKQ The National Weather Service in Wakefield has issued a * Flash Flood Warning for. Northwestern Essex County in east central Virginia. Northwestern Richmond County in east central Virginia. Southern Westmoreland County in east central Virginia. * Until 430 PM EDT. * At 130 PM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen in the past 30 minutes. The expected rainfall rate is 1 to 2 inches in 30 minutes. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD. Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE. Radar and automated gauges. IMPACT. Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include. Montross, Newland, Leedstown, Loretto, Hague, Singerly, Foneswood, Peeds, Piney Grove, Templeman, Chance, Mount Holly, Lyells, Kremlin, Threeway and Hustle.
