At 541 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over Beulahville, or 9 miles northwest of Saint Stephens Church, moving northeast at 15 mph. HAZARD. Wind gusts up to 40 mph and half inch hail. SOURCE. Radar indicated. IMPACT. Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. This strong thunderstorm will be near. Beulahville around 545 PM EDT. Newtown around 550 PM EDT. Other locations impacted by this storm include Beazley, Sparta, Gether, Owenton, Globe, Upshaw, Central Point, Salvia, and Duane Fork.

* WHAT. Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE. A portion of central Virginia, including the following counties, Hanover and Henrico. * WHEN. Until 800 PM EDT. * IMPACTS. Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 553 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected over the area during the next half hour. - Some locations that will experience flooding include.
