At 913 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong thunderstorms near La Ward, or 11 miles west of Palacios, moving east at 15 mph. HAZARD. Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE. Radar indicated. IMPACT. Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include. Matagorda, Palacios, South Texas Nuclear Plant, Point Comfort, La Ward, Alamo Beach, Indianola, Schicke Point, Olivia, Lolita, Blessing, Port Alto, Vanderbilt, Midfield, Wadsworth, and Lake Texana Dam.

Matagorda Ship Channel, Turtle Bay, Matagorda Jetty, Palacios Bay, and East Matagorda Bay.

Victoria, Port Lavaca, Guadalupe, Point Comfort, Victoria Colony Creek Country Club, Alamo Beach, Dacosta, Wood Hi, Magnolia Beach, Schicke Point, Victoria Riverside Park, Olivia, Placedo, Victoria College, Brentwood Subdivision, Victoria Regional Airport, Telferner, and Downtown Victoria. This includes the following highways. US Highway 59 between mile markers 626 and 638. US Highway 87 between mile markers 810 and 840.

East central Victoria County in south central Texas. * Until 1000 AM CDT. * At 915 AM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 7 miles northeast of Placedo, or 10 miles northwest of Port Lavaca, moving northeast at 10 mph. HAZARD. Golf ball size hail. SOURCE. Radar indicated. IMPACT. People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. * This severe thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of north central Calhoun and east central Victoria Counties. This includes US Highway 87 between mile markers 830 and 832.
