AQAHGX The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) has issued an Ozone Action Day for the Houston, Galveston, and Brazoria area for Saturday, June 8, 2024. Atmospheric conditions are expected to be favorable for producing high levels of ozone pollution in the Houston, Galveston, and surrounding areas on Saturday. You can help prevent ozone pollution by sharing a ride, walking, riding a bicycle, taking your lunch to work, avoiding drive through lanes, conserving energy and keeping your vehicle properly tuned. Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast. * WHERE. Trinity River at Liberty. * WHEN. Until further notice. * IMPACTS. At 27.0 feet, Moderate lowland flooding begins as roads into several outlying communities above Liberty are closed with residents in 5 or 6 subdivisions cut off if not evacuated. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 7:15 PM CDT Friday the stage was 27.3 feet. - Bankfull stage is 21.0 feet. - Recent Activity.
