At 1214 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Hamby, moving east at 25 mph. HAZARD. Wind gusts up to 50 mph and nickel size hail. SOURCE. Radar indicated. IMPACT. Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include. Clyde, Baird, Moran, Putnam, Eula, Ibex, Hamby, Potosi, Mccarty Lake, Admiral, Us-283 Near The Callahan-Shackelford County Line, and I- 20 Near The Callahan-Eastland County Line. This includes Interstate 20 between Mile Markers 290 and 323.

Through Friday evening. * IMPACTS. Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Area creeks and streams are running high and could flood with additional heavy rainfall. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - Recent rainfall has resulted in near saturated soils that are resistant to runoff and proper drainage. Additional rainfall of 1 to 3 inches, with isolated higher amounts up to 5 inches may result in flooding.

* WHAT. Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE. A portion of west central Texas, including the following counties, Callahan, Jones and Taylor. * WHEN. Until 145 AM CDT. * IMPACTS. Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 1144 PM CDT, Radar indicated thunderstorms with heavy rain overspreading the Abilene area. Rainfall of 1 to 2 inches will occur between 1145 PM and 1 AM, and this will cause urban and small stream flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include. Abilene, Merkel, Tye, Tuscola, Hawley, Buffalo Gap, Trent, Dyess Afb, View, Potosi, Coronados Camp, Hamby, Impact, Kirby Lake, Camp Tonkawa, Lake Abilene, and Lake Fort Phantom Hill. - This includes Interstate 20 between Mile Markers 261 and 294. This includes the following Low Water Crossings.
