At 842 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from near Crystal Falls to Moran to near Rowden. Movement was east at 35 mph. HAZARD. Winds in excess of 40 mph and half inch hail. SOURCE. Radar indicated. IMPACT. Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Strong thunderstorms will be near. Breckenridge, Crystal Falls, and Hubbard Creek Reservoir around 845 AM CDT. Lake Cisco and Lake Daniel around 855 AM CDT. Cisco and Gunsight around 900 AM CDT. Necessity and Possum Kingdom Lake around 905 AM CDT. Possum Kingdom State Park and Caddo around 910 AM CDT. Eastland around 915 AM CDT. Other locations impacted by these storms include Nimrod, Kokomo, Staff, Carbon, Okra, Harpersville, Morton Valley, Pleasant Hill, Pioneer, and Ivan. This includes Interstate 20 between mile markers 324 and 363.

At 836 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from near Lusk to near Moran. Movement was east at 30 mph. HAZARD. Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE. Radar indicated. IMPACT. Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include. Albany, Throckmorton, Moran, Woodson, Elbert, Fort Griffin, Ibex, Mccarty Lake, The Intersection Of Us-183 And Us- 283, Lusk, The Intersection Of Us-283 And Ranch Road 209, and Us- 180 Near The Shackelford-Stephens County Line.

* WHAT. Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE. A portion of west central Texas, including the following counties, Callahan, Fisher, Jones, Nolan, Shackelford, Taylor and Throckmorton. * WHEN. Until 1030 AM CDT. * IMPACTS. Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 717 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to a line of strong thunderstorms. from Millers Creek reservoir to Anson to Sweetwater to 10 miles west of Blackwell, moving east at 30 mph. The storms should be moving through Abilene 8 to 9 AM. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain has fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1.5 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include. Abilene, Sweetwater, Clyde, Stamford, Anson, Hamlin, Albany, Baird, Roscoe, Throckmorton, Blackwell, Nolan, Merkel, Rotan, Tye, Cross Plains, Tuscola, Roby, Hawley and Buffalo Gap. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Northeastern Taylor County in west central Texas. * Until 1030 AM CDT. * At 824 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain over Abilene. Up to 0.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible over Abilene. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD. Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding. SOURCE. Radar. IMPACT. Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include. Abilene, Tye, Dyess Afb, Caps, Potosi, Hamby, Impact and Kirby Lake. This includes Interstate 20 between Mile Markers 274 and 292. This includes the following Low Water Crossings. Intersections along Sammons Street, Butternut Underpass, Curry Lane from Clack Street to Catclaw Drive, Texas Avenue at Arnold Boulevard, Intersections along Buttonwillow Parkway, South 27th Street at Catclaw Creek, FM 3308 crossing Draw, 2000 block of Oak Street, North 6th Street and Willis and Antilley Rd. crossing Button Willow Creek.
