* WHAT. Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE. Portions of north central Alabama, including the following counties, Cullman, Limestone, Madison and Morgan and southern middle Tennessee, including the following counties, Lincoln and Moore. * WHEN. Through Friday afternoon. * IMPACTS. Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - A Flood Watch has been issued for north east and north central Alabama and southern middle Tennessee due to anticipated rainfall from Helene as the tropical system moves inland. 3-5 inches of rain are forecast for area in the Flood Watch with locally higher totals of 6-7 inches possible. The highest risk for Flash Flooding will be overnight Thursday into Friday morning. Terrain influences may lead to enhanced runoff increasing the Flash Flood threat in valley locations. River flooding will then become a concern Friday into the weekend as additional rainfall continues to contribute to rises on rivers, creeks, and streams. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Through Friday afternoon. * IMPACTS. Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - Locally heavy rainfall associated with Hurricane Helene is expected to begin this evening and will continue through Friday afternoon. From this evening through Saturday morning. * IMPACTS. Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Low-water crossings may be flooded. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - A flood watch has been issued for Middle Tennessee due to anticipated rainfall from Helene.
