At 1205 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a line of strong thunderstorms near Findley Lake, or 13 miles east of Erie, moving northeast at 25 mph. HAZARD. Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE. Radar indicated. IMPACT. Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include. West Seneca, Jamestown, Olean, Dunkirk, Fredonia, Hamburg, East Aurora, Salamanca, Allegany State Park, Evans, Boston, Eden, Springville, Bennington, Colden, Orchard Park, Westfield, Lakewood, Gowanda, and Silver Creek. This includes the following highways. Interstate 90 between exits 56 and 60. Interstate 86 between exits 4 and 27.

Greenville, Jamestown, Utica, New Lebanon, Sheakleyville, and Maurice K Goddard State Park. This includes Interstate 79 in Pennsylvania between mile markers 130 and 137.

Van Buren Point, Barcelona, Ripley, and Dunkirk.

At 1129 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated a cluster of thunderstorms, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots and small hail. These thunderstorms were located 15 nm north of Van Buren Point, or 15 nm northwest of Dunkirk, moving northeast at 35 knots. Locations impacted include. Van Buren Point, Small Boat Harbor, Lake Erie Beach, Grand Island, Barcelona, Woodlawn Beach, Erie Basin Marina, Sturgeon Point, Ripley, Youngstown, Wanakah, Lewiston, Dunkirk, Athol Springs, Bayview, Sunset Bay, and Niagara River.
