From 11 AM EDT this morning through late tonight. * IMPACTS. Wind and wave action will cause currents on the lakeshore. Swimmers should not enter the water. Currents can carry swimmers away from shore through a sand bar and along structures extending out into the lake.

A Marine Weather Statement has been issued for the following areas. Lake Erie from Dunkirk to the Buffalo Harbor. At 940 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated showers, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots. These showers were located along a line extending from 9 nm west of Erie Basin Marina to near Van Buren Point, moving northeast at 40 knots. Locations impacted include. Small Boat Harbor, Lake Erie Beach, Wanakah, Woodlawn Beach, Erie Basin Marina, Sturgeon Point, Dunkirk, Athol Springs, Bayview, and Sunset Bay.

These showers were located along a line extending from 15 nm northwest of Dunkirk to 7 nm northeast of Erie, moving east at 35 knots. Locations impacted include. Wind gusts up to 40 mph. SOURCE. Radar indicated. IMPACT. Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include. Youngstown, Meadville, Boardman, Alliance, Campbell, Hubbard, Canfield, Corry, Titusville, Sebring, Minerva, Union City, Waynesburg, East Sparta, Wattsburg, Riceville, Guys Mills, Atlantic, Canadohta Lake, and Maplewood Park.
