Buffalo River near Dilworth affecting Clay County. .Recently observed and forecast rainfall will cause rivers to rise in the southern Red River Basin over the next seven days. The South Branch Buffalo River near Dilworth may reach minor flood stage as early as Sunday. For the Buffalo River. including Hawley, Dilworth. flooding is possible. * WHAT. Flooding is possible. * WHERE. Buffalo River near Dilworth. * WHEN. From Sunday afternoon until further notice. * IMPACTS. At 13.0 feet, MINOR FLOOD STAGE. At 17.0 feet, Some agricultural flooding begins. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 12:45 PM CDT Thursday the stage was 7.4 feet. - Forecast. The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in North Dakota. Minnesota. Red River of the North at Fargo affecting Clay and Cass Counties. For the Red River. including Wahpeton, Hickson, Fargo, Halstad, East Grand Forks, Oslo, Drayton, Pembina. Minor flooding is forecast. * WHAT. Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE. Red River of the North at Fargo. * WHEN. From Friday afternoon to Thursday, May 30. * IMPACTS. At 18.0 feet, MINOR FLOOD. Elm St between 14th and 15th Ave N is closed (Fargo). Storm sewer pump stations are beginning to operate (Fargo). At 19.0 feet, Low-level dam south of Main Ave is closed (Fargo). * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 10:15 AM CDT Thursday the stage was 16.9 feet. - Bankfull stage is 17.0 feet. - Forecast. The river is expected to rise above flood stage early tomorrow afternoon to a crest of 20.0 feet Sunday morning. It will then fall below flood stage Wednesday afternoon. - Flood stage is 18.0 feet.
