Waters from Cape Lookout to Surf City NC from 20 to 40 nm. Waters fromOcracoke Inlet to Cape Lookout NC from 20 to 40 nm. * Until 700 AM EDT. * At 501 AM EDT, strong thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 8 nm southwest of Atlas Tanker to 6 nm southwest of 14 Buoy to 18 nm south of Big Ten Fathom, moving northeast at 25 knots. HAZARD. Wind gusts to 40 knots and small hail. SOURCE. Radar. IMPACT. Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and suddenly higher waves. * Locations impacted include. Atlas Tanker, 14 Buoy, Northwest Places, The Knuckle Buoy, Big Ten Fathom, and Ar285.

At 538 AM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 11 nm east of Atlas Tanker to 10 nm east of 14 Buoy to 33 nm east of Wr4, moving northeast at 25 knots. HAZARD. Wind gusts in excess of 50 knots and small hail. SOURCE. Radar indicated. IMPACT. Boats could suffer significant structural damage in high winds. Small craft could capsize in suddenly higher waves. Locations impacted include. Atlas Tanker, 14 Buoy, The Knuckle Buoy, and Big Ten Fathom.

At 557 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated a strong thunderstorm, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots and small hail. This thunderstorm was located near Frying Pan Shoals Light Tower, moving northeast at 30 knots.
