At 826 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Bowdens, or 7 miles northwest of Warsaw over Interstate 40, moving southwest at 10 mph. HAZARD. Wind gusts in excess of 30 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE. Radar indicated. IMPACT. Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include. Clinton and Turkey.

A Marine Weather Statement has been issued for the following areas. Coastal waters from Surf City to Cape Fear NC out 20 nm. Waters from Surf City to Cape Fear NC from 20 to 40 nm. At 749 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated strong thunderstorms, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots. These thunderstorms are moving off the mainland between South Topsail Beach and Wrightsville Beach, moving southeast at 20 knots.
