At 625 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong thunderstorms over Ammon, or 10 miles north of Elizabethtown, moving southeast at 30 mph. HAZARD. Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE. Radar indicated. IMPACT. Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include. Elizabethtown, Rowan, Bladen Community College, Tolarsville, Duart, Ammon, Lagoon, Tobermory, Ruskin, White Oak, Jerome, White Lake, Dublin, Tar Heel, and Bladen County Hospital. This includes Interstate 95 in North Carolina between mile markers 34 and 35.

Coastal waters from Little River Inlet to Murrells Inlet SC out 20 nm. Waters from Cape Fear NC to Little River Inlet SC from 20 to 40 nm. Waters from Little River Inlet to Murrells Inlet SC from 20 to 40 nm. At 618 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated a strong thunderstorm, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots. This thunderstorm was located 7 nm southeast of Little River Offshore Reef, moving southeast at 20 knots.
