At 1047 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 7 miles west of Huntersville, or 5 miles southwest of Ramsey Creek Park, moving northeast at 25 mph. HAZARD. Wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny size hail. SOURCE. Radar indicated. IMPACT. Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include. Gastonia, Uptown Charlotte, Huntersville, Kannapolis, Downtown Concord, Statesville, Lincolnton, Central Charlotte, Northeast Charlotte, and Northwest Charlotte.

* WHAT. Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE. A portion of central North Carolina, including the following counties, Davidson, Guilford and Randolph. * WHEN. Until midnight EDT tonight. * IMPACTS. Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 854 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 1.5 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include.
