FFWRAH The National Weather Service in Raleigh has issued a * Flash Flood Warning for. Southwestern Durham County in central North Carolina. * Until 1115 AM EDT. * At 810 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD. Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding. SOURCE. Radar. IMPACT. Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include. Durham, Chapel Hill, Bethesda, Parkwood, Research Triangle, Eno River State Park and Jordan Lake.

* WHAT. Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE. A portion of central North Carolina, including the following counties, Durham, Orange and Wake. * WHEN. Until 1100 AM EDT. * IMPACTS. Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 750 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain has fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include. Raleigh, Durham, Cary, Chapel Hill, Wake Forest, Carrboro, RDU International, Morrisville, Knightdale, Rolesville, William B Umstead State Park, Rollingview Marina, Falls Lake Boat Ramp, Research Triangle, Falls Lake, Bethesda, Falls Lake State Rec Area, Gorman, Parkwood and Jordan Lake. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
