Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include. Mount Airy. Flat Rock. Ararat. Collinstown. and Woodville.

* WHAT. Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE. A portion of central North Carolina, including the following counties, Davidson, Montgomery, Randolph and Stanly. * WHEN. Until 945 PM EDT. * IMPACTS. Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 638 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 1.8 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 1.5 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include. Southern Randolph County in central North Carolina. Northeast Stanly County in central North Carolina. * Until 730 PM EDT. * At 626 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 8 miles east of Badin Lake, moving east at 20 mph. HAZARD. 60 mph wind gusts and half dollar size hail. SOURCE. Radar indicated. IMPACT. Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees. * Locations impacted include. Albemarle, Badin Lake, North Carolina Zoo, Seagrove, Badin, Star, Steeds, Eldorado, and Morrow Mountain State Park.
