The areas affected include. Narragansett Bay. Rhode Island Sound. At 1208 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated a strong thunderstorm, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots and small hail. This thunderstorm was located over Warwick, moving east at 30 knots. Locations impacted include. Dutch Harbor Light, Sakonnet Point Light, Castle Hill Light, Narragansett Bay, Horseneck Beach, Quonset Point, Melville, Greenwich Bay, Popasquash Point, Warwick Light, Bristol Harbor, Plum Beach Light, Conimicut Light, and Sachuest Point.

The areas affected include. Fire Island Inlet to Montauk Point NY out 40 NM. Eastern Long Island Sound. Peconic and Gardiners Bays. Long Island South Shore Bays. At 1157 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated strong thunderstorms, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots. These thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 10 nm northeast of New Haven Harbor to near Westhampton Beach to 24 nm east of Buoy 44025, moving east at 25 knots. strong thunderstorms will be near. Central Long Island Sound, Great Peconic Bay, Mattituck Inlet, Shinnecock Bay, Shinnecock Inlet, Falkner Island, and Madison Reef around 1205 PM EDT. Horton Point, Little Peconic Bay, and Six Mile Reef around 1210 PM EDT. Shelter Island Sound and Westbrook Center around 1220 PM EDT. Dering Harbor, Long Sand Shoal, and Shelter Island around 1225 PM EDT. Mouth of the Connecticut River and Essex Village around 1230 PM EDT. Gardiners Bay and Orient Point around 1235 PM EDT. Plum Island around 1245 PM EDT. Buoy 44017, Gardiners Island, and Niantic Bay around 1250 PM EDT.

* WHAT. Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE. A portion of southern Connecticut, including the following counties, Middlesex and New London. * WHEN. Until 115 PM EDT. * IMPACTS. Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 1145 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain has fallen over portions of the area. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include. Jewett City, Norwich, New London, Colchester, Clinton, Groton, Old Saybrook, Salem, Chester, Mystic, Waterford, East Lyme, Ledyard, Griswold, East Haddam, Haddam, Old Lyme, Lebanon, Westbrook and Killingworth. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
