The areas affected include. Long Island Sound West of New Haven CT / Port Jefferson NY. At 734 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated strong thunderstorms, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots. These thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 14 nm northwest of Captain Harbor to near Saddle Rock, moving northeast at 35 knots. Locations impacted include. Baxter Estates, Long Neck Point, Stamford Harbor, Captain Harbor, Cold Spring Harbor, Huntington Bay, Hempstead Harbor, Saddle Rock, Eastchester Bay, and Little Neck Bay.
