At 716 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 12 miles southwest of Wellsville, moving southeast at 15 mph. HAZARD. Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and nickel size hail. SOURCE. Radar indicated. IMPACT. Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include. Shinglehouse and Oswayo.

SVRCTP The National Weather Service in State College PA has issued a * Severe Thunderstorm Warning for. Eastern Potter County in north central Pennsylvania. Western Tioga County in north central Pennsylvania. * Until 800 PM EDT. * At 715 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Denton Hill State Park, moving southeast at 20 mph. HAZARD. Golf ball size hail and 60 mph wind gusts. SOURCE. Radar indicated. IMPACT. People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees. * Locations impacted include. Galeton, Lyman Run State Park, Denton Hill State Park, Ulysses, and Ski Denton Ski Area. Radar has indicated rotation within this severe thunderstorm. Although a tornado is not immediately likely, tornadoes can develop quickly during severe thunderstorms.

Northwestern Tioga County in north central Pennsylvania. * Until 1000 PM EDT. * At 702 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD. Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE. Radar. IMPACT. Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include. Westfield, Genesee, Harrison Valley and Ulysses.

Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 632 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Up to 1 inch of rain has fallen. - Additional rainfall of 1 to 1.5 inches is expected over the area.
