FFWABQ The National Weather Service in Albuquerque has issued a * Flash Flood Warning for. The Cerro Pelado Burn Scar in. East Central Sandoval County in north central New Mexico. * Until 430 PM MDT. * At 137 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain over the Cerro Pelado Burn Scar. Between 0.75 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.25 to 0.75 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. Excessive rainfall over the burn scar will impact Canada Camada, Peralata Canyon, Bland Canyon, Rio Chiquito, Tent Rock National Monument, Cochiti Pueblo, and Cochiti Golf CLub. The debris flow can consist of rock, mud, vegetation and other loose materials. HAZARD. Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding in and around the Cerro Pelado Burn Scar. SOURCE. Radar indicated. IMPACT. Life threatening flash flooding of areas in and around the Cerro Pelado Burn Scar. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include. Cochiti Lake, Cochiti Pueblo and Pena Blanca.

Between 0.75 and 1.25 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. Excessive rainfall over the burn scar will impact Vallecitos Creek, Paliza Canyon, West Fork Borrego Canyon, Vallecitos de los Indios, and East Fork Trailhead. The debris flow can consist of rock, mud, vegetation and other loose materials. HAZARD. Life threatening flash flooding.
