Portions of southwest and west central Colorado, including the following areas, in southwest Colorado, Animas River Basin, Northwest San Juan Mountains, San Juan River Basin and Southwest San Juan Mountains. In west central Colorado, Central Gunnison and Uncompahgre River Basin. * WHEN. Until midnight MDT tonight. * IMPACTS. Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Low-water crossings may be flooded. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - Unusually high levels of moisture originating with Tropical Storm Alberto combined with the potential for training thunderstorms brings the potential for excessive rainfall and localized flash flooding. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

FFWABQ The National Weather Service in Albuquerque has extended the * Flash Flood Warning for. Northeastern San Juan County in northwestern New Mexico. * Until 1230 AM MDT. * At 1029 PM MDT, Trained weather spotters reported flash flooding from earlier thunderstorms. While it is not currently raining, between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. Flash flooding is expected to continue into the early morning hours. HAZARD. Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE. Trained spotters reported. IMPACT. Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include. Farmington, Bloomfield, Aztec, Flora Vista and NAPI Headquarters. This includes the following highways. Highway 550 between Mile Markers 138 and 161. Highway 64 between Mile Markers 49 and 74.
