Portions of southwest and west central Colorado, including the following areas, in southwest Colorado, Animas River Basin, Northwest San Juan Mountains, San Juan River Basin and Southwest San Juan Mountains. In west central Colorado, Central Gunnison and Uncompahgre River Basin. * WHEN. Until midnight MDT tonight. * IMPACTS. Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Low-water crossings may be flooded. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - Unusually high levels of moisture originating with Tropical Storm Alberto combined with the potential for training thunderstorms brings the potential for excessive rainfall and localized flash flooding. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

* WHAT. Arroyo and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE. A portion of northwest New Mexico, including the following county, northeastern San Juan. * WHEN. Until 615 PM MDT. * IMPACTS. Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 414 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause arroyo and small stream flooding. Between 0.75 and 1.25 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.25 to 0.5 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include. FFWABQ The National Weather Service in Albuquerque has issued a * Flash Flood Warning for. Northeastern San Juan County in northwestern New Mexico. * Until 630 PM MDT. * At 431 PM MDT, trained weather spotters reported thunderstorms producing heavy rain in 3 miles SW of Farmington. Between 0.75 and 1.25 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.25 to 0.5 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD. Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE. Trained spotters reported. IMPACT. Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include. Farmington, Bloomfield, Aztec, Flora Vista and NAPI Headquarters. This includes the following highways. Highway 550 between Mile Markers 138 and 161. Highway 64 between Mile Markers 49 and 74.
