At 819 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated a broken line of embedded strong thunderstorm, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots. This thunderstorm was located near Cliffwood Beach, moving northeast at 15 knots. The strong thunderstorm will be near. Raritan Bay around 825 PM EDT.

* WHAT. Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE. A portion of southeast New York, including the following county, Richmond (Staten Island). * WHEN. Until midnight EDT tonight. * IMPACTS. Water over roadways. Overflowing poor drainage areas. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 901 PM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Overflowing poor drainage areas have already caused minor flooding in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include.
