These thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near South Amboy to near Cliffwood Beach to 9 nm southwest of Fair Haven to 10 nm west of Belmar, moving north at 45 knots. Locations impacted include. Sandy Hook Bay, The Verrazano Narrows Bridge, Raritan Bay, Upper New York Harbor, and Lower New York Harbor.

Coastal waters from Sandy Hook to Little Egg Inlet NJ out 20 nm. * Until 230 PM EDT. * At 133 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing waterspouts was located over Ship Bottom, moving northeast at 30 knots. HAZARD. Waterspouts, wind gusts 34 knots or greater, and small hail. SOURCE. Radar. IMPACT. Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and suddenly higher waves. * Locations impacted include.
