SMWPHI The National Weather Service in Mount Holly NJ has issued a * Special Marine Warning for. Coastal and outer waters from Sandy Hook to Great Egg Inlet NJ. * Until 1045 PM EDT. * At 848 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms capable of producing waterspouts were located along a line extending from 13 nm west of Pine Beach to 15 nm northwest of Little Egg Inlet to 17 nm northwest of Buoy Ge, moving east at 30 knots. HAZARD. Waterspouts, wind gusts to nearly 50 knots, and small hail. SOURCE. Radar. IMPACT. Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and suddenly higher waves. * Locations impacted include. Ocean Gate, Sea Girt Reef, Atlantic City, Little Egg Reef, Atlantic City Reef, Ship Bottom, Barnegat Light Reef, Garden State South Reef, Axel Carlson Reef, Silverton, Harvey Cedars, Forked River, Lavallette, Beach Haven, Barnegat Light, North Beach Haven, Garden State North Reef, Shark River Reef, Point Pleasant Beach, and Little Egg Inlet.

Waters from Manasquan Inlet NJ to Little Egg Inlet NJ out 20 to 40 nm. Waters from Sandy Hook NJ to Manasquan Inlet NJ out 20 to 40 nm. At 940 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms capable of producing waterspouts were located along a line extending from 12 nm southeast of Shark River Reef to 6 nm east of Garden State North Reef to Little Egg Reef, moving east at 35 knots. HAZARD. Waterspouts, wind gusts to nearly 50 knots, and small hail. SOURCE. Radar indicated. IMPACT. Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas.
