Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - Strong to severe thunderstorms will be capable of producing heavy rainfall in multiple rounds of expected storm activity. Any such storm may bring flooding rains, especially if they repeat over the same areas. This threat will be heightened for some of our localities that have seen such localized heavy rainfall over the past few days, where their threshold for flooding will be more sensitive.

River forecasts are based on observed precipitation and forecast precipitation for the next 24 hours. * WHAT. Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE. Illinois River at Hardin. * WHEN. From this evening to early Tuesday afternoon. * IMPACTS. At 25.0 feet, Flood Stage. Lowland flooding of unprotected agricultural land begins. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 9:00 PM CDT Friday the stage was 25.6 feet. - Recent Activity. The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 9:00 PM CDT Friday was 25.6 feet. - Forecast. The river is expected to rise to a crest of 26.8 feet just after midnight tonight. It will then fall below flood stage Monday morning. - Flood stage is 25.0 feet.

At 28.6 feet, Water begins covering Highway C about a half mile south of Highway B in St. Charles County. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 10:30 AM CDT Saturday the stage was 25.5 feet. - Forecast. The river is expected to rise to a crest of 28.5 feet Friday morning. It will then rise to 28.5 feet Friday morning. Additional rises are possible thereafter. - Flood stage is 26.0 feet.
