* WHAT. Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE. A portion of southwest Illinois, including the following counties, east central Greene, northeastern Jersey and northwestern Macoupin. * WHEN. Until 645 PM CDT. * IMPACTS. Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 241 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include. Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE. Mississippi River at Clarksville. * WHEN. From Monday morning until further notice. * IMPACTS. At 25.5 feet, State Route P east of Elsberry begins flooding just east of the levee. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 12:00 PM CDT Friday the stage was 24.3 feet. - Forecast. The river is expected to rise to a crest of 27.3 feet Thursday morning. It will then rise to 27.3 feet Thursday morning. Additional rises are possible thereafter. - Flood stage is 25.0 feet.
