Minor flooding is occurring, minor flooding is forecast, but moderate flooding is possible. * WHERE. Cannon River at Northfield. * WHEN. From early this morning to Wednesday afternoon. * IMPACTS. At 899.0 feet, Laird Stadium at Carleton College begins to flood; west gymnasium threatened. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 330 AM CDT Monday, the stage was 897.3 feet. - Recent Activity. The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 330 AM CDT Monday was 897.3 feet. - Forecast. The river is expected to rise to a crest near 898 to 899 feet this evening. It will then fall below flood stage late Wednesday morning. - Flood stage is 897.0 feet.

* WHAT. Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE. Portions of central and east central Minnesota, including the following counties, in central Minnesota, Sibley. In east central Minnesota, Carver and Scott. * WHEN. Until 815 AM CDT. * IMPACTS. Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 409 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the warned area. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are possible in the warned area. - Some locations that will experience flooding include. Belle Plaine, Jordan, Gaylord, Arlington, Winthrop, Henderson, Gibbon, New Rome, Mn Valley State Rec Area and Minnesota Valley State Recreation Area.
