Forecast flooding changed from Minor to Moderate severity and increased in duration for the following rivers in Minnesota. Cottonwood River at New Ulm affecting Brown County. Minnesota River at Henderson MN19 affecting Le Sueur, Scott and Sibley Counties. .Recent heavy rainfall combined with the forecast of additional rain and high soil moisture will produce additional rises on area rivers. Thunderstorms are expected later today and another round of significant rainfall is possible at the end of the week. * WHAT. Moderate flooding is forecast. * WHERE. Minnesota River at Henderson MN19. * WHEN. From this afternoon until further notice. * IMPACTS. At 736.8 feet, Highway 22 east of St Peter closed (estimated levels for spring flooding) * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 930 AM CDT Tuesday, the stage was 731.7 feet. - Forecast. The river is expected to rise above flood stage late this afternoon and continue rising to a crest of 736.9 feet early Saturday afternoon. - Flood stage is 732.0 feet. - Flood History.
