At 1053 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over Edina, or near Minneapolis, moving east at 35 mph. HAZARD. Wind gusts up to 40 mph and nickel size hail. SOURCE. Radar indicated. IMPACT. Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include. Minneapolis, St. Paul, Bloomington, Brooklyn Park, Plymouth, Eagan, Maple Grove, Coon Rapids, Eden Prairie, Burnsville, Blaine, and Minnetonka.

Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include. Brooklyn Park, Coon Rapids, Blaine, Andover, Brooklyn Center, Oakdale, Fridley, Shoreview, White Bear Lake, Ramsey, Champlin, and New Brighton. This includes the following highways. Interstate 35 between mile markers 130 and 142. Interstate 94 in Wisconsin between mile markers 30 and 31. U.S. Highway 8 in Minnesota between mile markers 0 and 5, and between mile markers 7 and 22. U.S. Highway 61 between mile markers 163 and 165.

Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE. Minnesota River at Savage. * WHEN. Until Saturday evening. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 100 PM CDT Wednesday, the stage was 703.4 feet. - Recent Activity. The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 100 PM CDT Wednesday was 703.5 feet. - Forecast. The river is expected to fall below flood stage early Saturday morning and continue falling to 698.8 feet Wednesday, June 19. - Flood stage is 702.0 feet. - Flood History.
