At 729 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over New Richmond, or 20 miles north of River Falls, moving northeast at 40 mph. HAZARD. Wind gusts up to 40 mph. SOURCE. Radar indicated. IMPACT. Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. This strong thunderstorm will be near. Star Prairie around 735 PM CDT. Amery around 745 PM CDT. Clear Lake around 750 PM CDT. Clayton around 800 PM CDT. Turtle Lake around 805 PM CDT. Other locations impacted by this storm include Boardman, Huntington, Range, Wanderoos, Joel, East Farmington, Deronda, Deer Park, Forest, and New Richmond Airport. This includes U.S. Highway 61 near mile marker 165.

Riverwalk on west side of town begins to flood. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 1030 AM CDT Tuesday, the stage was 895.4 feet. - Forecast. The river is expected to rise to near flood stage tomorrow.
