Multiple rounds of additional rainfall on top of already wet soils has a chance to result in isolated to scattered flooding, with both areal flooding and flash flooding possible. The most concerning round of precipitation will arrive later in the day on Monday, with a focus around and northwest of the Twin Cities. Training thunderstorms could lead to localized higher amounts and an increased risk of flash flooding. Scattered showers and storms continue through Tuesday before diminishing by Tuesday night. * WHAT. Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible. * WHERE. Portions of Minnesota, including the following areas, Anoka, Benton, Carver, Chippewa, Chisago, Dakota, Douglas, Hennepin, Isanti, Kanabec, Kandiyohi, McLeod, Meeker, Mille Lacs, Morrison, Pope, Ramsey, Renville, Scott, Sherburne, Sibley, Stearns, Stevens, Swift, Todd, Washington and Wright and Wisconsin, including the following areas, Barron, Polk and St. Croix. * WHEN. The National Weather Service in the Twin Cities has issued a Flood Warning for the following rivers in Minnesota. South Fork Crow River below Mayer affecting Carver County. * WHAT. Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE. South Fork Crow River below Mayer. * WHEN. From this evening to early Wednesday afternoon. * IMPACTS. At 12.0 feet, Flooding affects Mill Avenue from Watertown to the Wright County line; Yancy Avenue between Carver County Road 30 and 78th Street; Vega Avenue between Carver County Road 33 and 94th Street; and the intersection of Union Avenue and 82nd Street. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 130 AM CDT Sunday, the stage was 9.5 feet. - Forecast. The river is expected to rise above flood stage this evening to a crest of 11.9 feet tomorrow evening. It will then fall below flood stage Wednesday morning. - Flood stage is 11.0 feet. - Flood History. This crest compares to a previous crest of 11.8 feet on 05/28/2011.

Forecast flooding changed from Minor to Moderate severity and increased in duration for the following rivers in Minnesota. South Fork Crow River below Mayer affecting Carver County. .Heavy rain over the next week will lead to significant rises on area rivers, with major flooding already forecast to occur at Delano. Please note, our river forecasts only include the next 24 hours of forecast precipitation. River stages have the potential to end up higher, and crest longer, than the current forecast shows by the end of the week. * WHAT. Moderate flooding is forecast. * WHERE. South Fork Crow River below Mayer. * WHEN. From this afternoon until further notice. * IMPACTS. At 16.0 feet, Road to the Watertown Waste Water Treatment plant is flooded. Yale Avenue flooded between County Road 30 and 78th Street; and 62nd Street west of County Road 33 to Yancy Avenue is closed. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 930 AM CDT Sunday, the stage was 9.8 feet. - Forecast. The river is expected to rise above flood stage late this afternoon and continue rising to a crest of 15.5 feet Tuesday morning. - Flood stage is 11.0 feet. - Flood History. This crest compares to a previous crest of 15.4 feet on 03/27/2019.
