The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Minnesota. Minnesota River at Morton affecting Redwood and Renville Counties. Minnesota River at Montevideo affecting Chippewa, Lac qui Parle and Yellow Medicine Counties. Minnesota River at Savage affecting Carver, Scott, Dakota and Hennepin Counties. .While the Minnesota River has crested and is starting to recede, many locations remain above flood stage the the flood warning continues. * WHAT. Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE. Minnesota River at Savage. * WHEN. Until Saturday evening. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 100 PM CDT Wednesday, the stage was 703.4 feet. - Recent Activity. The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 100 PM CDT Wednesday was 703.5 feet. - Forecast. The river is expected to fall below flood stage early Saturday morning and continue falling to 698.8 feet Wednesday, June 19. - Flood stage is 702.0 feet. - Flood History. This crest compares to a previous crest of 703.4 feet on 06/29/2011.

Thunderstorms with very heavy rainfall continue to move across the area this afternoon, with more possible into the evening. * WHAT. Urban area and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE. Portions of central, east central, and south central Minnesota, including the following counties, in central Minnesota, Sibley. In east central Minnesota, Scott. In south central Minnesota, Le Sueur. * WHEN. Until 715 PM CDT Wednesday. * IMPACTS. Streams continue to rise due to excess runoff from earlier rainfall. Expect many areas of slow moving or standing water. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 107 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the warned area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area. - Some locations that will experience flooding include. New Prague, Belle Plaine, Jordan, Le Sueur, Gaylord, Arlington, Henderson, Green Isle, Helena, New Auburn, Heidelberg, Mn Valley State Rec Area, New Rome, Minnesota Valley State Recreation Area and St Benedict. - High Island Creek is still running high from last week's rain, and may rise again this afternoon.
