Given the recent excessive rainfall and current flooding, any additional rain could lead to flash flooding. * WHAT. Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible. * WHERE. Portions of Minnesota, including the following areas, Anoka, Carver, Chisago, Dakota, Freeborn, Goodhue, Hennepin, Isanti, Le Sueur, Ramsey, Rice, Scott, Sherburne, Steele, Waseca, Washington and Wright and Wisconsin, including the following areas, Dunn, Eau Claire, Pepin, Pierce, Polk and St. Croix. * WHEN. Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE. A portion of south central Minnesota, including the following counties, Le Sueur, Rice, Steele and Waseca. * WHEN. Until 1000 AM CDT Tuesday. * IMPACTS. Numerous roads remain closed due to flooding. Low-water crossings are inundated with water and may not be passable. Central Blue Earth County in south central Minnesota. * Until 1030 AM CDT Tuesday. * At 420 PM CDT, water continues to erode one bank of the Rapidan Dam causing the Blue Earth River to bypass the dam uncontrolled. HAZARD. Flash flooding from the breach of Rapidan Dam. SOURCE. Dam operator. IMPACT. Flooding of areas downstream from the Rapidan Dam along the Blue Earth River. This includes the following streams and drainages. Blue Earth River, Le Sueur River and Minneopa Creek. Flooding is occurring along the Blue Earth River.
