In Minnesota, Crow Wing, Koochiching, Pine, Carlton, St. Louis, Itasca, Aitkin and Cass Counties and Wisconsin, Burnett, Douglas and Washburn Counties. This includes the Tribal Lands of the Fond du Lac Band, the St. Croix Band in Burnett County, the Mille Lacs Band, Hinckley, Lena Lake, Big Sandy Lake and, East Lake areas and the Bois Forte Band, Deer Creek, Lake Vermilion and, Nett Lake areas. Recreation spots such as Voyageurs National Park. This also includes the Boundary Waters western area. * WHEN. Through Wednesday morning. * IMPACTS. Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - Showers and thunderstorms are expected to bring heavy rain Monday through Tuesday, with localized areas receiving up to 2 to 3 inches of rain. This will fall on top of already saturated soils and rivers with normal to above normal streamflow. At 1211 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from 8 miles southwest of McCarthy Beach State Park to 6 miles northwest of Swatara. Movement was northeast at 50 mph. HAZARD. Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE. Radar indicated. IMPACT. Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include. Hibbing, Grand Rapids, Cohasset, Coleraine, Keewatin, Nashwauk, Hill City, Taconite, Warba, Hill Annex Mine State Park, Pokegama Dam, Gunn, McCarthy Beach State Park, Swatara, Pengilly, Perch Lake, Blackberry, Bovey, Marble, and La Prairie.
