* WHAT. Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible. * WHERE. In Minnesota, Crow Wing, Pine, South Itasca, Carlton, central and southern St. Louis, Aitkin and Cass Counties and Wisconsin, Burnett, Douglas and Washburn Counties. This includes the Tribal Lands of the Fond du Lac Band, the St. Croix Band in Burnett County, the Bois Forte Band, Lake Vermilion area and the Mille Lacs Band, East Lake, Big Sandy Lake, Hinckley and, Lena Lake areas. * WHEN. From Monday afternoon through Wednesday morning. * IMPACTS. Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Extensive street flooding and flooding of creeks and rivers are possible. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - Showers and thunderstorms are expected to bring heavy rain Monday through Tuesday, with localized areas receiving over 3 inches of rain. This will fall on top of already saturated soils and rivers with normal to above normal streamflow. The heaviest rain is expected Monday evening and through the day Tuesday. - Flood safety information can be found at www.weather.gov/safety/flood.
