Lake Superior West of Line from Manitou Island to Marquette MI Beyond 5NM from shore. Lake Superior from Upper Entrance to Portage Canal to Manitou Island MI 5NM off shore to the US/Canadian Border. Manitou Island to Point Isabelle MI. Marquette to Munising MI. Munising to Grand Marais MI. At 749 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated strong thunderstorms, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots. These thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 14 nm northeast of Brockway Mountain to near Au Train Island, moving northeast at 20 knots.
