Through mid day Tuesday, wind gusts 35 to 45 mph are expected with variable wind direction in Southwest Lower Michigan, including the following counties. Allegan, Bary, Van Buren, and Kalamazoo. These winds are not associated with a thunderstorm and will tend to occur after the rain ends. A few additional tree limbs and branches may fall in areas that were affected by this morning's storm.

SMWGRR The National Weather Service in Grand Rapids has issued a * Special Marine Warning for. Nearshore and Open Waters from St Joseph to Grand Haven MI. * Until 1115 AM EDT. * At 945 AM EDT, a front with gale force wind gusts was located along a line extending from near the Holland Light to near the St. Joseph Light. HAZARD. Wind gusts 34 knots or greater. SOURCE. Radar. IMPACT. Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and suddenly higher waves. * Locations impacted include. Grand Haven Light, Port Sheldon Harbor, Holland Light, Saugatuck Pier Heads, South Haven Light, St. Joseph Light.

* WHAT. Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE. A portion of southwest Michigan, including the following county, Van Buren. * WHEN. Until noon EDT. * IMPACTS. Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 821 AM EDT, Radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. - Local rain gages were indicating around 2 inches of rain has fallen in South Haven area. Locally an additional inch of rain could fall by 10 am. - Some locations that will experience flooding include. South Haven, Hartford, Bangor, Decatur, Van Buren SP, Covert, Keeler, Lawrence, Breedsville, South Haven Area Regional Airport, Lacota and Grand Junction. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
