At 222 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Temperance, moving northeast at 15 mph. HAZARD. Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail. SOURCE. Radar indicated. IMPACT. Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include. Temperance, Luna Pier, Lambertville, La Salle, Erie, Toledo Beach, and Bolles Harbor. This includes I-75 between mile markers 1 and 11.

The areas affected include. Michigan Waters of Lake Erie from Detroit River to North Cape MI. At 212 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated a strong thunderstorm, capable of producing winds up to 30 knots and small hail. This thunderstorm was located over North Cape, moving northeast at 10 knots. The strong thunderstorm will be near. North Cape and Luna Pier around 215 PM EDT. Bolles Harbor Of Refuge around 235 PM EDT. Other locations impacted by the strong thunderstorm include Woodland Beach, Stony Point, Estral Beach, and Detroit Beach.

The Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy has declared Thursday June 20th to be an action day for elevated levels of ozone. Pollutants are expected to be in the Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups range. The action day is in effect for the following Michigan counties. St. Clair. Livingston. Oakland. Macomb. Washtenaw. Wayne and Monroe. It is recommended that, when possible, you avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with respiratory diseases such as asthma. People and businesses are urged to avoid activities which can lead to ozone formation. These activities include: refueling vehicles or topping off when refueling, using gasoline powered lawn equipment, using charcoal lighter fluid. Positive activities include: driving less, telecommuting, walking or bike riding, delaying or combining errands, using water-based paints.
